Woman airlifted to hospital after A259 Dymchurch crash

A motorcyclie pillion passenger is fighting for her life after a road crash.

The woman, in her 50s, was injured on the A259 near Dymchurch
yesterday morning.

The red Honda she was on was in collision with a black Vauxhall Zafira
near the Neptune pub on Hythe Road at 9.35am.

She was airlifted to a London hospital with serious head injuries and remained in intensive care last night.

The motorcycle rider, a man also in his 50s, sustained minor injuries
and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The road was closed for five hours, until 2.45pm, while police
investigated the crash.
