Witness appeal after fatal crash on M26

Police investigating the death of a woman in an accident on the M26 in Kent are urging witnesses to come forward.

A female passenger travelling in a silver Vauxhall Corsa was killed after the car is thought to have left the coastbound carriageway just prior to the M20 sliproad.

A man was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a critical condition, according to a police spokesman.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened just before 9.30am Monday.
