Video: Firefighters tell
of their experience at Indonesian quake zone

The nine Kent firefighters and a search dog who went out to
Indonesia to help in the relief effort following the earthquakes
have been speaking to KentOnline about their experiences.

The specialist Urban Search and Rescue response team were part
of a group of 64 who went to Padang as part of the UK response.

The team used tools that can penetrate reinforced concrete and
metal to gain access to casualties. They also had kit which shored
up structures so they could operate safely below unstable
buildings.
