TWO people were lucky to escape serious injury after their light aircraft crash-landed in a field near Sittingbourne on Thursday.
The twin engine aircraft came down in the field at Frinsted at around 5.30pm.
The pilot, a 66-year-old man from Croydon, suffered injuries to his ribs, wrist and elbow and some cuts to his face. The passenger was complaining of back pain.
Both were able to walk away from the plane before paramedics arrived and they were taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.
