Flowers left at the scene of a fatal crash at Birling

Flowers have been left at the scene of a crash in Birling in which a man tragically died.

The 31-year-old, from Snodland, was driving a silver Peugeot 208 estate when he hit a bank and overturned on Tuesday night.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with head injuries after the crash, at about 10.50pm. However, he died on Thursday.

No other cars were involved in the crash in Birling Hill, close to the Holly Hill junction, near Meopham.

Kent Police officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw the silver Peugeot before the crash to come forward.

Witnesses are asked to phone the Kent Police serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538.
