A heavily pregnant woman feared she would lose her child after being caught up in a terrifying street robbery.

Lianne Yorke, 26, was slapped around her face and ordered to sit down with her attacker threatening to make her bleed.

Her partner Tony Porter was kicked repeatedly in the head and ribs and forced to hand over his wallet. Incredibly, both escaped the ordeal without serious injury.

Speaking exclusively to the Medway Messenger, Tony said: “I’m quite a strong person but we just can’t stop thinking about it.

“They were quick and confident and seemed to know what they were doing - almost as if they’d done it before.”

The vicious assault happened on Saturday night near the King Charles Hotel in Brompton.

Police are looking for two men aged in their early twenties, one with a distinctive scar.
