Street brawl leaves man unconscious

A MAN is in hospital with serious head injuries after a street fight outside a nightclub.

The 23-year-old victim was found unconscious by officers outside the Casino Rooms in Blue Boar Lane, Rochester, following a mass brawl.

Up to 20 people took part in the fight which started outside the club and spread to a nearby car park and Rochester High Street. The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Two other men from Chatham, aged 34 and 24, were also injured following an incident believed to be connected to the street fight.

The pair were leaving the Casino Rooms at 2am when they saw the fight taking place in the car park. Both men were struck from behind without warning and sustained head and facial injuries.
