A village school will go one step beyond the Victoria sponges and hoopla at this year's fete.

For tiny Tunstall Primary School will have a guest of honour at the annual event in July - the FA Cup!

Organisers are thrilled the Football Association has agreed to send the cup to the July 5 fete being held next to Tunstall Village Hall, and the trophy is set to be a huge attraction with visitors.

Children will have the chance to have their picture taken alongside the cup.

The fete is the biggest fund-raising event for the school’s PTA, and other attractions will include a classic car display, fire engine, a police car, a police dog display team, birds of prey and traditional stalls and sideshows.
