Maidstone United are still top of Ryman League Division 1 South after coming from behind to draw with title rivals Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday night.

Nyren Clunis had given Hamlet a third-minute lead in front of 1,073 at Champion Hill but Ade Olorunda scored a crucial equaliser nine minutes from time.

The result means the title race is still wide open. Dulwich are three points behind the Stones with a game in hand, although Jay Saunders’ side boast a better goal-difference.

In the Premier Division, Margate remain a point outside the play-offs places after they were beaten 4-2 at home by third-placed Wealdstone.

Kezie Ibe put the Gate in front early on but Wealdstone fought back and led 2-1 at the interval. Tommy Whitnell restored parity before two Stones goals in as many minutes put the game beyond Margate.

Thamesmead won at Redbridge by the odd goal in seven to keep themselves third in Division 1 North and on course for a crack at the play-offs.

Rob Carter equalised an early Redbridge goal and Stuart Zanone twice put the Mead in front, only for the home side to fight back with two equalisers. However, Richard Butler’s late strike handed Thamesmead a 4-3 win.

Elsewhere in the division, Chatham Town were held to a goalless draw at Brentwood. It was a fifth straight draw for the Chats, for whom Kes Metitri hit the woodwork.
