SECURITAS is offering a reward leading to the arrest and conviction of robbers who snatched bags of cash when they held up a security van at gunpoint at a service station on the M20.

Two robbers, both clad in balaclavas and possibly wearing high-visibility clothing, struck at Maidstone Services, just off junction eight at Hollingbourne, about 8.50am last Friday.

Neither of the two guards who were in the van at the time were hurt in the drama. It is not known how much money was stolen.

Maidstone and Malling police spokeswoman Gianna Pollero said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who used the services at around the time of the incident and particularly from anyone who saw anything suspicious."

A spokesman for Securitas said the guards were shaken but unharmed.

Call Maidstone Police Station on 01622 604181, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – this call is free and confidential.
