Plane crash pilot escapes injury

A LIGHT aircraft pilot walked away unharmed after crash-landing in a farm in Kent on Saturday.

The plane came down in an oilseed rape field in Church Hill, Kingsnorth, apparently after suffering engine failure. The pilot has not yet been identified.

Emergency services were called by a member of the public at 7.20am on Sunday, and fire crews from Ashford, Charing and Wye went to the scene of the crash.
