Olympic torch comes to Kent... sort of!

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

For many, it's the closest they'll get to the real thing.

An exact replica of the London 2012 Olympic torch came to Dover
today - exactly a year before the real thing arrives in the town on
the start of its 70-day tour of the country.

Also on display in Market Square were torches used in the run-up
to previous Olympics, including one that was used in 1948 - the
year London last hosted the Games.

The event was organised by Olympic sponsor Lloyds TSB, which is
still looking for torchbearers to carry the flame on its route to
the Olympic stadium.

The bank has converted a London taxi into a film booth, giving
visitors an opportunity to nominate people they think deserve to be
a part of the torch relay.
