Murder investigation launched

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was shot.

Kent Police is appealing for information after a 51-year-old man died after an incident in Ditton, near Aylesford, in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called to a house in Medina Road shortly after 3am after a report that a man had been shot.

Kent Police has started a murder investigation. The house has been cordoned off while officers gather forensic evidence.

Neighbourhood officers are on patrol in the area and will be speaking to local people to find out if they have any information and to address any concerns they may have.

Police would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident, including anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of Medina Road during Thursday evening or the early hours of today.
