Motorway delays follow serious crash

Motorists are warned to expect delays on the M26 and M25 following an accident this morning.

A motorcyclist is believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash on the slip road of the A21, at junction four(Orpington) of the M25.

The incident, involving the motorbike, an HGV and a car, happened at 11am.

Kent Air Ambulance attended and has taken the motorcyclist to the Royal London Hospital.

The clockwise slip road at the A21 will be closed for some time while police investigate.

The main carriageway of the M25 remains open.

Kent police are warning drivers to avoid take alternative routes and avoid the area.
