A mother-of-two has been found dead in the same place where her partner died exactly eight weeks earlier.

The body of Dee Anderson, 34, of St Benedict’s Road, Snodland, was discovered at Leybourne Lakes, Larkfield, near Maidstone at around 12.30am last Friday.

Her partner, 19-year-old Brian Anderson, had also been found there on August 22. He had drowned. The cause of Dee’s death has not yet been confirmed.

The couple, who had lived together for 18 months, had celebrated the birth of their daughter, Alex Clara, just four months ago.

Tributes to Dee were left alongside tributes to her partner at Leybourne Lakes this week. One said: “Dee... don’t worry about the kids, we’ll look after them.”

After an initial investigation, police said they were not treating her death as suspicious.

The coroner is due to open an inquest into her death. A post mortem was carried out on Wednesday.

It is understood Dee had three children, of whom Alex Clara was the youngest, and also had an adopted son.

An inquest is yet to take place into Brian’s death.
