Four goals in a devastating 19-minute second-half spell saw Dartford make it eight wins out of eight away from home in the premier division on Tuesday night.

Dartford took the lead after 24 minutes when Ryan Hayes did well to keep Danny Harris’ cross in play and Lee Burns hooked the ball home from close range.

Canvey had hardly threatened until a needless Ryan Johnson foul handed them a penalty which Craig Davidson converted on the half-hour.

The Darts regained the lead on 62 minutes when Adam Flanagan’s long ball forward was headed in by Jamie Coyle.

Hayes’ third successive right-wing corner was finally turned in from close range by Rob Haworth with 19 minutes left to make it 3-1.

Four minutes later, Hayes’ free-kick was nodded in by Harris at the near post and then Burns took advantage of some indecisive defending nine minutes from time to tuck away the fifth goal.

There was still time for James Rowe to pull a goal back for the home side with two minutes left.

A horrific injury to defender Mark Green caused Chatham’s game with Folkestone to be abandoned at Maidstone Road on Tuesday night.

Green suffered a triple broken leg after going down in agony under a second-half challenge in the Division 1 South game.

Referee Andy Mead brought the players off the pitch, while they waited for an ambulance to arrive, before he decided to abandon the match after 77 minutes with the score goalless.

A Danny Hockton brace gave Maidstone a 2-1 victory over Hastings in the premier division on Bank Holiday Monday.

It took only four minutes for Hockton to open the scoring when netted with a glancing header following Dean Hernandez-Bradshaw’s cross.

Hastings levelled on 26 minutes when Sam Adams got on the end of a long ball over the top, cut inside Roland Edge and scored.

Hockton netted what turned out to be the winner with a curling shot 10 minutes before the break after Jermaine Darlington pulled the ball back to him.
