Man injured in nightclub bottle attack

A 21-year-old man suffered head injuries after reportedly being assault at a popular Kent nightclub.

The incident took place at the Amadeus nightclub, at Medway Valley Leisure Park, Strood, between midnight and 1.30am on Friday.

The victim was reportedly talking to his friends when he was pushed from behind. After asking the man responsible to stop, he was struck with a bottle.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering cuts to his head.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault, and has been bailed whilst inquiries continue.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Steve Gibbins said: ‘We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed an altercation on the dance floor or the assault itself.”
