Man in dock on murder charge

A 23-YEAR-OLD man appeared before magistrates in Medway today charged with murder.

Christopher Paul Walker, formerly of Weatherly Close, Rochester, now of Tulse Hill, London, is accused of killing Mark Potts, 23, from Essex.

The body of Mr Potts was found floating in the River Medway by Thunderbolt Pier in The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, on Monday, April 19.

Police have confirmed that Mr Potts died from a gunshot wound. The case will come before Medway magistrates again on April 30. Mr Walked was remanded in custody at today's hearing.
