Police are investigating a suspected suicide after a man was found hanged in a tree.

The body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was discovered by a member of the public in shrub land off Willesborough Road, Ashford just after 1pm today.

Officers cordoned off a private drive next to the Julie Rose Stadium while a forensics team investigated the scene.

The man, who has yet to be identified, has blond hair and is 6ft tall. The death is not being treated as suspicious. Anyone with information which may help the investigation can call Kent Police on 01622 690690.
