Police are appealing for help to trace a man who indecently exposed himself to children in Northdown Park, Margate on Good Friday.

Two girls were playing in the park close to Northdown Park Road at around 4.30pm when they saw a man strip naked and commit an indecent act.

The man is described as white, between 35-45-years-old, with a heavy build.

He was clean-shaven and had short brown hair which was greying. He was wearing blue grey jeans and a red t-shirt with white stripes.

Sergeant Lin Russell from the Thanet Neighbourhood Policing team said:

"This was an unpleasant incident and the girls did exactly the right thing and reported this incident immediately to their parents who called us.

"We do really need to trace this man so we would like to hear from anyone who may have any useful information which could identify him or anyone who may have witnessed anything similar in the last few months but did not report it to us at the time."
