Firefighters free driver from wreckage on the slip road at junction 3 of the M25 at Swanley

A driver had to be cut for the wreckage of a car when the vehicle smashed into a barrier on the M25 at Swanley this morning.

The accident happened on the sliproad to junction three on the anti-clockwise carriageway shortly after 8am and the male motorist was trapped in his vehicle with multiple injuries.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to cut the roof off the car so the victim could be treated by paramedics and removed and taken to hospital.

His condition is not thought to be serious and no other vehicles were involved.
