Injured cat was shot from close range

A CAT may require surgery after being hit in the shoulder by an airgun pellet in a Kent village.

The attack took place between noon on Saturday and 9am on Sunday at Painter's Forstal, near Faversham.

The vet who examined the cat discovered that the animal had been shot from close range.

The cat's condition is being monitored but it may need an operation to remove the pellet.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01795 419182 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
