A big search is under way to find a 'vulnerable' missing man, last seen at his home two days ago.

Police say they are growing "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of 28-year-old John Howells who was reported missing on Friday.

Mr Howells, who police describe as "vulnerable", was last seen at his home in Sheppey Beach Villas, Leysdown at 8.30pm on Thursday.

He is described as white, of medium build, has black hair and walks with a limp. He was last seen wearing a grey vest, a grey tracksuit and white Reebok trainers.

Police officers searching for Mr Howells are being supported by the Kent and Essex Helicopter and the coastguard, as it's thought he may still be in the local area.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Kent Police on 01622 690690.
