A MAN was taken to hospital in the early hours this morning when his home caught fire.
Firefighters were called to the house in Francis Road, St Paul's Cray, at 1am and found the man, believed to be aged about 50, suffering from smoke inhalation.
He had managed to leave the property by himself.
The fire is understood to have started in the dining room area.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
