Hit-and-run on pedestrian crossing

A 77-YEAR-OLD man has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident.

The victim was using a pedestrian crossing to cross Boundary Road, Ramsgate, near the junction with Chatham Street at about 11.40pm on Sunday.

A car travelling towards St Lawrence struck the man but the driver failed to stop. There is no description of the car, but police say the front of the vehicle is probably damaged.
