Dressed for success: Gillingham's Connor Essam, right, and Jack Payne show off the new home and away kits for the coming season

Gillingham's Connor Essam and Jack Payne have already had a taste of the new season - after donning the club's centenary kit this week.

The Gills have based the designs on the club's 1913 strip, which was originally worn to mark the club's name change from New Brompton FC to Gillingham FC, and also incorporate the town's coat of arms on both the front and back.

The new kit has proved popular with fans as it has received the most pre-orders of any Gillingham kit. The kit is expected to be available from the club shop shortly.
