Adam Miller believes Gillingham are developing the right characteristics at the right time to steer clear of relegation.

Miller, pictured, scored Gillingham’s first goal in their 2-2 draw against MK Dons on Saturday and said: "I do believe we have enough about us.

"We’re playing well and the atmosphere is good. We are growing in confidence every week.

"We’ve had different tests and we seem to have grown from every game. You can see the confidence the boys have got.

"A while ago we could have crumbled and (Saturday) could have gone from bad to worse but I don’t think that’s going to happen now this season. I feel more than positive about staying up."

The Gills twice came from behind and pulled level in the second half despite being down to 10 men against the play-off chasing Dons.

"It felt like a win," said Miller. "If we had 11 on the pitch I do feel we would have won the game.

"It reflects the character of the team to come from behind twice."
