Friefighters tackle house blaze at Penshurst

A candle was responsible for starting a fire overnight which destroyed 80 per cent of a West Kent home.

The home in Penshurst went up in flames just before 2am today - two people had to be taken to hospital.

At its height around 30 firefighters were battling the blaze along Penshurt Road.

Around 80 per cent of the building has been destroyed.
