One prefers six-inch stilettos, the other something a little more sporty.

Their choice of footwear might be different but Davina McCall and Frank Lampard have both raided their wardrobes to help out the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

The service, which relies almost entirely on public donations, is holding an online auction to raise vital funds.

Among the shoes going under the hammer are a pair of black patent leather Giuseppe Zanotti heels donated by Davina and a pair of size nine Adidas Adipures, worn by Lampard during Chelsea's FA Cup-winning 2008/9 season.

Lampard's Stamford Bridge and England team-mate John Terry has also pledged his support, donating a pair of Umbro Speciali Revolution boots.

Other celebs backing the campaign include Olympic gold medalist Kriss Akabusi, World Touring Car champ Jason Plato and Pendulum rock star Gareth McGrillen.

An eBay auction will run from today until September 25, as part of the annual Air Ambulance Week.
