Father-of-two killed in sidecar tragedy

A SIDECAR driver from Kent was one of two men killed on a crash on an Isle of Man TT practice race.

The Isle of Man TT’s official website reports that one of the victims was Tony Smith, 44, of Istead Rise, near Gravesend, who was married with two children.

The second victim, the passenger, was reported as Barry Pepperrell, of Surrey.

The accident happened on the evening of Friday, May 26, on a practice run for the Pre-TT Classic Road Races.

The organisers confirmed they were carrying out a full investigation and the Coroner of Inquests has been informed.
