Hardy stallholders turned out in force for Cliftonville’s award-winning farmers’ market on Sunday despite the dreadful weather.

As you can see from the pictures above, taken by bedraggled Extra photographer Paul Amos, there was plenty on offer for the people who braved the cold and wet.

The goodies included vegetables, cakes, fruit juices, wild game, artisan bread, cheese, eggs, curries, honey, fudge, olives, plants, pasta, meat, speciality pies, preserves, vegan and vegetarian, fruit, Fair Trade products, pashmina scarves and more.

The market at the Oval Lawns at Eastern Esplanade was voted best in Kent in 2006 and 2007, and the organisers are looking for a hat-trick of successes when the 2008 Produced In Kent awards are announced.
