A motorist was pummelled with a piece of wood in a roadside row.

Police are appealing for information after the attack in Spartling Lane, Ramsgate, between 5.30pm and 5.45pm last Tuesday.

The 59-year-old man was driving his Vauxhall Corsa along the narrow road when he pulled over to let an approaching van pass.

It's then thought the van driver got out and smashed the Corsa's door with a piece of wood.

As the 59-year-old got out to challenge him the Nissan Cabster driver is then said to have laid into him with the wood, causing bruising down his side.

The suspect is a white man, around 60 and stockily built with short, dark brown hair. He wore dark clothes and builder's boots.
