'Distinctive' power tools stolen during break-in

INTRUDERS stole nearly £2,000 worth of power tools when they broke into a property in Margate.

The offender or offenders got into the property through a window leading to the roof space and took the items being used by workmen completing the loft conversion at the property in The Ridgeway.

The tools include three Paslow nailguns and a Dewalt four-piece combination set comprising a hammer, drill, reciprocating saw, circular saw and torch.

A man’s Frederick Constant gold-coloured watch also disappeared during the burglary.

The items were taken between 1.45pm and 10.30pm on Sunday, August 19.

Acting Det Sgt Lee Goodey said: “These tools are distinctive. We would like anyone who knows their whereabouts to come forward.”

Anyone who can help police is asked to contact Acting Det Sgt Goodey on 01843 222178.
