Crash victim's delayed journey to hospital

A road crash casualty had a delayed journey to hospital after an ambulance broke down.

The accident, involving a lorry and a car, happened on the Ratcliffe Highway, near Hoo, at 7.45am this morning.

One person was taken to hospital suffering from minor chest pains.

Traffic was moving freely again by 8.30am.

Later in the morning, drivers faced congestion when a lorry overturned on the roundabout at Junction 2 (Rochester) exit of the M2.

Police were called to the scene at 11.10am. There were no injuries and the road remained open.
