AN UPDATE on the refurbishment of Hall Place will be given to councillors at a meeting tonight

Councillors of the Leisure, Arts and Tourism Overview and Scrutiny Committee will be given the update on works to the Tudor mansion and its grounds, including the building of new changing rooms and works to the Jacobean barn.

They will also have the opportunity to discuss the council’s bid to become a pilot scheme for the government’s find your talent scheme, an initiative which will give students the opportunity to experience five hours of arts and culture a week.

This could come in the form of exhibitions and performances as well as museum visits and to sights of interest, or in a more hands-on approach through film-making, learning a musical instrument, or arts and crafts.

The meeting will be held in the Civic Offices, Broadway, Bexleyheath at 7.30pm.
