A cheetah had to be sprayed in the face with a fire extinguisher after it attacked two staff members at a wildlife park.

Luke Foreman and Jonny Ames, employees at Eagle Heights Wildlife Park in Eynsford, Dartford , were taken to Darent Valley Hospital with scratch marks on Sunday.

The two men returned to work on Monday. At the time of the attack the three cheetahs at the park were being filmed.

Eagle Heights owner Alan Ames, 55, said: “It was an unfortunate and regrettable incident that was dealt with professionally, calmly and correctly.

“The lads were laughing and joking and were more worried about the cheetah than themselves.

“The situation had to be dealt with and we used the minimum force possible.
“It is now 100 per cent business as usual.”
