Bookies robbed in Gillingham

A hooded robber made off with cash after raid at a bookmakers yesterday.

The man threatened staff at the William Hill betting shop in Barnsole Road, Gillingham, at about 5pm before making off with a undisclosed amount of cash.

He ran towards the Livingstone Arms pub at Livingstone Circus.

Police say the man is black, 5ft 8in and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark blue or black hooded top and dark trousers and was carrying a white plastic carrier bag.
