A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a collision with a lorry in Canterbury Street, Gillingham.

Police closed off adjoining roads for more than three hours and diverted traffic away from the scene at the junction with Stopford Road just after 2.50pm on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An ambulance spokesman said he had died of multiple injuries.
