Appeal after supermarket robbery

KENT Police are appealing for information about a robbery which took place at a supermarket.

Staff at the Lidl's store on Farleigh Hill, Tovil, Maidstone, were locking up at about 9pm on Thursday night when two men approached and demanded at knifepoint to be let into the shop.

They then stole an amount of cash, mainly in coins before leaving the shop and walking away towards Farley Hill. They were carrying rucksacks.

One man was white, aged about 25, 5ft 8in tall, with dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue hooded top with white stripes down the sides and white trainers with dark blue stripes.

The other was also white, aged around 28, 6ft 2in, with mousey coloured hair. He was wearing a blue hooded top, trousers and an Adidas-style baseball cap.
