A PARKING attendant who set out to learn how to use a new camera has unwittingly become a Kent-wide talking point.

Barrie Crayden, who works for Medway Council, is a keen amateur photographer and began snapping away during work hours to learn how to use his digital camera.

Since March, Barrie has taken shots of 300 drivers who have used the council's coach park in Rochester.

The shots, which have just been displayed on one of the rest room walls, now known as "Barrie's Wall", give an amazing glimpse of everyday life at the coach park, which is used by hundreds of people of all nationalities every week.

Barrie said: "At first I had to ask drivers if they would mind being in a picture, but now they won't leave until I've taken one. It's great."

Some drivers have even travelled to the park just to look at the impromptu exhibition of Barrie's work.
