Tracy has marketing skills on tap

STAR student Tracy Curtis, from Paddock Wood, is celebrating a top marketing prize. Tracy was presented with a bottle of Champagne and a £250 cheque for winning the Sandom Challenge prize - sponsored by the Windsor-based Sandom Group - for the leading student taking marketing courses at Warwick Business School, part of the University of Warwick.

Course tutor Lyndon Simkin presented her prizes on the day she graduated with her BSc in management sciences. Dr Simkin said, "It is very unusual for one of our final year students to take all of our specialist marketing courses - consumer behaviour, marketing communications, marketing strategy, and international marketing.

"Not only has Tracy completed all these, but she came first or second in all four - a truly outstanding performance. And in addition, I hear she is a very good tap dancer!"

Tracy, who is joining Marks and Spencer as a management trainee, paid tribute to Warwick Business School and its staff. She said: "Receiving this award means a great deal to me and confirms my career direction in marketing. I now look forward to beginning my working life with very fond memories of university and a strong academic background."
