Director banned for tax evasion

A WHITSTABLE businessman has been banned from company management for four years after admitting tax evasion.

William Cameron, 55, of Columbia Avenue, was director of Pearl Design and Developments which was put into compulsory liquidation with debts of about £215,000.

The business, based at St Nicholas at Wade, made fibreglass products but was shut down last year.

Mr Cameron admitted avoiding paying the correct taxes and duties and is now banned from being a company director or taking part in company promotion, formation or management for four years.
