FURTHER claim to the importance of Ashford as business hub of the south east comes with the decision of overhead crane specialist to open new regional offices in the town.

Birmingham based Crane Care has moved in to establish their breakdown and sales support service for new and existing customers in the region.

Kent clients already include Magnox Electric, Kimberley-Clark and Bombardier Transport. Crane Care, established for 22 years in the Midlands, plans to expand and employ more local staff in the south.

Managing director Derek Barnbrook said: "It is more cost-effective for the client if we are directly on hand to deal with break-downs. We are now able to build on our solid customer base and ensure that Crane Care continues to deliver to the very highest standards."
