Air ambulance lands in Canterbury after man falls near Debenhams

A pensioner has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a serious head injury near Debenhams in Canterbury.

Paramedics were called to the scene in the High Street just before midday.

The man had collapsed in the street near the department store and hit his head.

Paramedics treated the man, thought be about 70 years old, for a serious head injury.

The air ambulance, which landed on Victoria Recreation Park near London Road, airlifted him to Kings College Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
