Gravesend Rugby Club's promotion hopes in London 2 South received a jolt with Saturday's surprise 32-28 home defeat by lowly Thanet Wanderers.

The match was one of two contrasting halves with Gravesend coming in at the break holding a 20-8 advantage.

The second period saw an astonishing transformation with Thanet's bigger forwards dominating all facet of the game.
