Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon happy to earn Trophy replay and says all the pressure will be on Woking

Daryl McMahon says Ebbsfleet deserved something for their performance in the 1-1 draw against Woking in the FA Trophy and looking forward to Tuesday's first round replay.

Contrary to the belief that it was a game he might not have wanted, with the club's focus firmly on promotion, boss McMahon said: "It's not a hinderance, but just another game of football, we would probably train harder.

"They will be the team people will feel should go through - but we will relish going there - the pressure is on them."

McMahon added: "I thought we deserved something out of the game - we started pretty well, there was then a 15/20 minute spell when Woking took over, but we finished the half strongly.

"They started the second half a bit better (going in front) and then in the last 25 minutes or so we were attacking strongly, and dominated from there.

"The game was so stop-start, and had no ebb and flow to it, Jack Powell couldn't do what he normally does for us, we sent Danny Kedwell and Stuart Lewis on. who both bring terrific energy to the side.

"It suited Stuart, and gave him the chance to ruffle a few feathers, got the crowd going - both did well - and so did (other substitute) Darren McQueen who played in the pocket and held the ball up well - Keds then clipped the post at the end, and we might have won it - it was a good performance.

"I thought our work-rate and defensive shape was excellent."

McMahon was also delighted with the performance of Andy Drury in his first home start since returning the club.

He said: "Andy was excellent- he just sees pictures that nobody else does - he is technically and tactically brilliant and we are lucky to have him."
