Ebbsfleet United goalkeeper Preston Edwards joins Dulwich Hamlet on loan after being recalled from Boreham Wood

Ebbsfleet goalkeeper Preston Edwards has joined Dulwich Hamlet on loan until the end of the season.

Edwards had been due to spend the whole campaign with Boreham Wood in the National League after Fleet boss Daryl McMahon chose Brandon Hall as his No.1.

But since starting six games in August and September, the 26-year-old hasn't made a single league appearance for Wood, who have reinstated their original first-choice James Russell.

Ebbsfleet signed former Spurs keeper Jon Miles last summer as back-up for Hall, who has been ever-present for the National League South leaders.

Edwards was at Stonebridge Road last Tuesday to watch his parent club beat St Albans 1-0.

He was denied the chance to make his Dulwich debut on Saturday when their Ryman League Premier Division match at Brentwood was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
