Ebbsfleet captain Chris Solly has now been recognised with September's player-of-the-month award.

The Fleet conceded only two goals in five games during the month, helping them to three league wins and a draw plus victory in the FA Cup over league rivals Dover.

The league said: "Chris Solly has been a key part of their unbeaten start, the captain who also helps out with coaching is making a big impression.

"Their defence has been getting stronger and stronger - the club let in just two goals in their five matches and would have won them all if it hadn’t been for a spirited Oxford City display in the final game of September."

Havant boss Paul Doswell, whose side impressively remain just two points behind leaders Ebbsfleet, takes the managerial award for September after matching the Fleet's return of 10 points in four games - their draw coming at Welling.
