Fleet confident ahead of Trophy replay

DOUBTFUL: Steve McKimm was forced off on Saturday with a cold
DOUBTFUL: Steve McKimm was forced off on Saturday with a cold

Eastbourne Borough v Gravesend

GRAVESEND travel to Eastbourne Borough tonight with a place in the 4th round of the FA Trophy at stake.

Fleet failed to break the Eastbourne defence when the two sides shared a 0-0 draw on Saturday, but manager Andy Ford believes his team can still win the replay at Priory Lane.

He said: "I'm confident we can win the replay - we need to just get through the game and then regroup. It was disappointing not to make use of home advantage but we have to go and win the tie away from home."

There is an extra incentive for Fleet because the winners have been given a home tie against Histon in the next round. They would hope to progress against the side from the Southern League Premier Division.

With Steve McKimm - who had to leave Saturday's match with a cold in the first half - doubtful, Ford expects the 11 players who finished the game to start against the Conference South side tonight.
