A jury found him guilty following a trial at Maidstone Crown Court and he was sentenced on Friday, December 20.

Between January and March Kraweic assaulted the victim on three separate occasions causing serious injuries to her face and body.

During this time period, he also raped her on one occasion.

Officer in charge of the case, PC Beverley Ritter of North Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team said: "This was a very serious and complex case. Kraweic took advantage of a vulnerable victim and subject her to repeated abuse knowing she was frightened of him. His appalling and threatening behaviour has led him to a significant custodial sentence. I would like to commend the victim for her bravery throughout this case and I am pleased we have secured justice for her."
